About Investment Technologies

Investment Technologies offers an exceptional combination of systems and investment expertise in investment technology with portfolio optimization, performance and risk measurement, behavioral finance, Monte Carlo simulation, personal risk assessment, and forecasting future asset and fund returns.

Investment Technologies was the first company to offer desktop-based portfolio optimization software.  The Expert Allocator and Expert Performance Analyst pioneered the use of sophisticated graphics, data-management and financial technologies in standalone DOS and Windows formats.  We introduced the first commercial applications of Post-Modern Portfolio Theory, which uses downside risk measures for portfolio construction and performance analysis.  More than 60 institutions worldwide currently use these products.

Investment Technologies was founded in 1986 by Brian M. Rom, a nationally recognized expert in portfolio optimization and risk measurement, to take advantage of the increasing power and availability of personal computers.
